DIY mini Tarot Book
Literally the Cutest Freebie Ever!
Hello, beautiful souls!
It's been a dream come true to share the Artist's Tarot Journals with you. Your support and enthusiasm have filled my heart, and I'm thrilled to see so many of you embracing the journey of Tarot-inspired creativity.
To celebrate, I've prepared something magical for you! I'm delighted to share a free printable so you can create your very own miniature book. This is book 1 of the journal series and includes full-color illustrations of the Major Arcana cards by Pamela Coleman Smith from the Rider-Smith-Waite Tarot deck. Many of you know that I love miniatures and if you are following me on Instagram, you’ve seen that I recently resurrected a 20-year-old dollhouse and am filling it with vintage and OOAK artisan miniatures.
To create a miniature version of the book, I took inspiration from Tara Marginnis, who offers tons of mini art and historical costuming books on her site for free here. My book is adapted from Tara’s method and template—thanks, Tara!
Materials:
Color printout of the freebie pdf linked at the end of this post
NOTE: printing at full size (letter, 8.5 x 11 in.) will give you the larger book pictured here, perfect for 1/6 scale; print 2 pages per letter-sized sheet and you’ll end up with the smaller book pictured here, an adorable 1/12 scale
Glue stick
Scrap card stock (its surface will be covered in the final book, so grab a postcard or piece of cardboard from your recycle bin)
Scissors
Specific directions are included on the pdf. Print it out, fold it carefully, and find yourself holding a small gem that echoes the bigger journey you're on. It's a delightful companion for your own Artist's Tarot journal, a conversation starter, or a magical miniature artifact to inspire and amuse.
May it bring you joy and spur your imagination!
